This page showcases a selection of art pieces of special significance to us. Posters, Logos, T-shirt designs, and even Sculpture are included in this exhibit. Some of the images below will link you to larger views and background information.

We will continue to add to this exhibit as pieces are prepared for web viewing.

Drawn by Cal Shenkel This is the official Bogus Pomp logo. It was drawn in 1999 by Cal Shenkel, the unique artist who designed over 25 Frank Zappa album covers, among other things. Please check out a larger view to fully appreciate its lavish and succulent detail.

Visit Cal's website, www.ralf.com.

Sculpted by Steve Pi
This is one of our favorites. A slightly larger than life bronze sculpture of Zappa, it was commissioned by Fred Hemmer and created by Orlando artist Steve Pi. The piece was unveiled at the Composer's Symposium, at the Salvador Dali Museum, on January 15, 1999. Take a look at a larger view and a photo essay on the making of the bust.

On August 5th, 2000, Bogus Pomp and a cappella legends, The Persuasions, presented a concert at the Mahaffey Theater in St Petersburg, FL. The Persuasions recently released a CD titled "Frankly A Cappella", a wonderfully styled selection of Zappa's lyrical compositions. This 18 x 24 color poster was designed for that concert. A number of these posters are signed by The Persuasions and Napoleon Murphy Brock, making them highly collectible. Here is a larger view
